Billionaire's Construction Company Awarded Road Tender by Uhuru Put on Auction

A Mount Kenya tycoon is set to lose several properties including his construction company and two residential properties to auctioneers.

The tycoon who owns Nyoro Construction Company Limited once scored a tender with the national government for the construction of the Gitugi-Njumbi-Mioro road in 2012.

In 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a warning to the tycoon over a four-year delay on the 41-kilometre road.

Seven years later, his construction company which has several properties along Mombasa Road as well as prime residential plots in South B are set to be sold on auction on March 28.

The commercial property on Mombasa Road comprises a main office block, six interconnected go-downs, a milling block, and a fuel shed.

It is located off Mombasa Road within the Ky'angombe Area of Nairobi's Industrial Area in Nairobi County on a property that fronts a tar-surfaced road.

It has also been connected to the main electricity and main water in the subject property. 

Drainage is into the main County Government sewer drainage system. It also incorporates a manned security gate and is fitted with CCTV cameras at various points within the premises.

In the Balozi Estate of Nairobi's South B, two four-storey residential buildings are up for sale by auction.

The buildings are registered at L.R. NO. 209/12116/32 (I.R. NO. 65522) and L.R.NO.209/12116/45 and are located off Likoni Road in South B, Nairobi.

They both consist of two two-bedrooms, three three-bedroom, and three four-bedroom apartment units.

Interested bidders on either of the properties have been informed that the Phillips International Auctioneers offices at the Kileleshwa estate along Kandara Road opposite White Star Centre will start at 11 am.
