The Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA) has announced a scheduled system maintenance of the Supplier Relationship Management Module of the iSupport System.

In a notice on Thursday, April 17, the authority noted that the maintenance will kick start on Friday, April 18, 9:00 PM and end on Saturday, April 19, 9:00 PM.

Among the systems that are expected to be unavailable during this period are Supplier Relationship Management(SRM), Supplier Portal, and the Supplier Registration Portal. Among those expected to be affected are Internal staff and suppliers.

"We would like to inform stakeholders of a scheduled maintenance for the Supplier Relationship Management Module. We regret any inconvenience and appreciate your patience," it stated.

The SRM module facilitates the registration and management of suppliers and enables the authority to create and maintain strategic relationships with vendors.

Suppliers use the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system to participate in procurement processes, such as open tenders, restricted tenders, and requests for quotations.

Through the system, suppliers can access bid notifications, download bid documents, and submit their responses.

New vendors can register for the iSupport system through the KRA website. The application process includes supplier registration and a confidential business questionnaire.

Existing suppliers, on the other hand, are always required to update their profiles in the system to ensure that their records are complete and accurate.

According to the authority, the module enhances transparency and efficiency in the procurement process.

"The data provided by the vendor will be transferred to the KRA systems, where it will be screened in conjunction with relevant authorities," the KRA states in a document.

"A potential supplier will be able to see the registration link on the KRA website under Tenders, then Supplier Registration, and fill in basic information such as company name, address, etc., registering under a specific purchasing category," it adds.
