The ex-girlfriend of former British Special Air Service (SAS) soldier, Christian Craighead, popularly known as the "Hero of Nairobi" for saving several lives during the Dusit D2 attack, has been fired from the army over fresh stalking charges against the soldier.

This is the second time the army dentist was reported for stalking and harassing the decorated soldier and his current partner.

According to an exclusive by the Daily Mail, she had been convicted previously in 2023 after pleading guilty to harassment and malicious communications.

She had been accused of, among others, bombarding the SAS soldier with messages and sending his naked pictures to his then partner, which her defence team excused as an internet spat that got out of hand.

However, she had requested to continue serving in the army and was allowed to do so until the latest charges led to her dismissal.

Her PTSD and depression from her years of service helped her escape a jail term, and she received a community order, including 30 sessions of an accredited programme requirement, 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, and 100 hours of unpaid work instead.

She also received a ten-year restraining order banning her from contacting her victims.

The ex, a 43-year-old woman, is an Afghan war veteran whose behaviour, senior officials noted, was unbecoming of her military service.

"Maj Wilson had hoped to continue serving in the Army. I think she always realised it was going to be a long shot. She is now attempting to rebuild her life," one of the senior defence officers told the Daily Mail.

"Given the publicity surrounding the trial and her relationship with a former member of the SAS, it was always going to be difficult to rejoin the Army. The bottom line is that her position had become untenable, and in cases like this, soldiers are told they must resign."

The soldier's partner, who also suffered the harassment, however, decried the silent firing of the army officer who she alleged destroyed her life.

"I'm disappointed that the Army and the Ministry of Defence have tried to save face by quietly sacking Wilson in the hope no one will notice," she stated.

"She bulldozed into my life under the disguise of 52 anonymous social media accounts. It was relentless. Every time I blocked one, a new account would appear, sending me more disgusting messages."

The "Hero of Nairobi" is remembered as one of the SAS soldiers who saved dozens of lives when Al Shabaab attacked Dusit D2 in 2019.

He was recently selected to serve in the elite security team of the new United States President Donald Trump.
