Did you know that you can request a statement of confirmation of examination results from the Kenya National Examination Council? Well, whether you are an employer seeking to confirm the legitimacy of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate or an interested person, this is possible.
In today's fast-paced economy, where most individuals are willing to do anything for a job, fake KCSE and even KCPE certificates are fast becoming the norm, with even top government officials being busted for the same. For some, it is a booming business.
Therefore, KNEC has provided a step-by-step guide on how one can confirm examination results, just armed with the student's index number and the type of exam.
Firstly, one needs to register an account at the KNEC official website through or through eCitizen. Once successfully registered, you can then log in with the credentials sent to your email.
After logging in, you should navigate to the confirmation option from the menu.
At this stage, fill in all the required details, including the student's index number, the type of exam, and the year the exam was taken.
You will also be required to provide the destination address details, which refers to the institution requesting the confirmation.
Include the name of the addressee and the purpose of the confirmation request at this point.
The fifth step involves uploading a copy of either the certificate, the result slip, or the result printout that you want to confirm.
Next, submit the application and wait for the system to generate the payment details.
You will then receive an email notification prompting you to log in and make the payment. Once the payment is completed, your application will be processed.
If you select dispatch via courier, KNEC advises that you contact their helpline (available at the bottom of the page) for further guidance.
In situations where one has lost their certificates, you are advised to apply for another one, following the steps provided on the KNEC official website.
