Mumias East MP says he will hire 100 bloggers to enhance his presence on X as he seeks to boost his candidature ahead of the next presidential elections.
Salasya on April 28, 2025, declared his 2027 presidential bid, joining the list of aspirants who have already announced their bids for the country's top seat.
On Wednesday, June 4, Salaysa said he wants the bloggers to help him to help promote his agenda on the platform.
He encouraged interested individuals to send him their contact information for further communication.
“Looking for 100 bloggers to be paid directly by me. Just text me your number and I will definitely call back so as to help push my agenda on X. I am doing badly on X,” he stated.
Salasya's reliance on social media is not new. In the previous interview, he recounted how he used social media to connect with voters during his parliamentary campaign.
"I did not have money. I used social media so much. I love social media. It gave me a platform to be known by my people that I was aspiring to be an MP, " he stated.
Salasya has been touring several parts of the country to look for support for his presidential bid.
He stated that his decision to vie for presidency had been arrived at following wide consultations and considerations from the public.
"Fellow Kenyans, after deep reflection, wide consultations, and careful consideration of the state of our nation, I, Peter Kalerwa Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East Constituency, hereby declare my intention to vie for the Presidency of the Republic of Kenya in the 2027 General Election," he declared.
To achieve his dream for Kenyans, he declared that he would be fronting a new political party, which will be announced later in the year.
"I invite all Kenyans — especially the youth, the women, the workers, the entrepreneurs, and the dreamers — to join me on this journey toward a new dawn for our beloved country. Together, we can and we shall build a prosperous, inclusive, and united Kenya," Salaysa added.
