The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised over 1,000 job vacancies in different government ministries and departments.
In a statement on Tuesday, June 17, PSC said that these jobs aim at filling important positions in the different sectors.
The vacancies available in ministries are the National Treasury & Economic Planning, Gender and Affirmative Action, Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Irrigation, Lands and Physical Planning, Public Works, Sports, Roads, and Livestock Development.
In the Executive Office of the President, 20 job positions have been announced for the role of Cohesion Officer II.
The commission has also re-advertised the position of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) at Egerton University. Additionally, there are four available positions for members of the Board of Directors of the NG-CDF.
The National Treasury has the highest number of advertised vacancies, with 309 positions. These include 144 openings for Budget and Finance Officers, 149 for Internal Auditors, and 13 for Economic Policy Analysts.
The Ministry of Gender and Affirmative Action is offering 28 vacancies for Gender Officers. In Shipping and Maritime Affairs, there are four openings each for Government Clearing Officers II and Government Clearing Assistants III.
In the irrigation sector, Assistant Engineer II, Irrigation Water Manager Officer II, Land Reclamation Officer II, Irrigation Development Coordination Officer II, and Assistant Irrigation Quality Assurance and Licencing Officer III are also needed.
The commission urged the applicants to visit the PSC official portal to check other advertised vacancies and apply.
The PSC, however, reminded the public to be careful and avoid fraudsters pretending to be the commission staff.
They warned that the commission does not charge any fees for applying, being shortlisted, attending interviews, or receiving appointments.
“Beware of fraudsters soliciting bribes from the public while masquerading as commission staff. Public Service Commission does not charge any fee for job applications, shortlisting, interviews, or appointments,” the Commission stated.
