PSC Announces 4000 Internship Opportunities, Outlines Application Conditions

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 4000 internship opportunities in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works and Urban Development.

The Commission, in a notice dated Tuesday, July 22, called on viable candidates to send their applications for over 40 professional areas, including architecture and civil engineering.

Other fields include construction management, quantity surveying, mechanical engineering, communications and branding, structural engineering, environmental practice, health and safety, and interior design.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) also announced opportunities in digital marketing, data entry, accounting, building inspection, supply chain management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), economics, as well as actuarial and property management.

Other fields include construction management, quantity surveying, mechanical engineering, communications and branding, structural engineering, environmental practice, health and safety, and interior design.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) also announced opportunities in digital marketing, data entry, accounting, building inspection, supply chain management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), economics, as well as actuarial science and property management.

Further, the candidate must have also graduated from a recognised university not earlier than 2018 and must be proficient in computer skills.

Those recruited will be required to perform various responsibilities, including completing duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisor.

The intern will also be responsible for documenting the relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment within the Affordable Housing Programme and Marketing project sites across the country.

To ensure continuous learning during the internship period, candidates will be required to actively participate in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme.

According to the PSC, the internship programme will run for 12 months, with participants expected to receive stipends at a rate determined by the government.

Additionally, at the end of the one-year programme, participants will be awarded a certificate by the State Department for Housing and Urban Planning.
