The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced short-term vacancies across the country in preparation for the 2027 General Election and the November by-elections.
In a statement, the commission said that the temporary staff would be hired on a daily wage ranging from Ksh1,000 to Ksh2,500 depending on the role.
The successful candidates will assist with voter registration, logistics, voter education and election management during the upcoming election.
Among the advertised vacancies was that of voter registration clerk, a role which will be based in the 57 Huduma Centres across the country.
IEBC noted that clerks who will be responsible for updating the voters register and guiding Kenyans through registration process will earn Ksh1,500 per day.
The electoral commission also advertised other jobs including polling and counting clerks who will earn Ksh1,000 per day.
ICT clerks will earn at Ksh1,500 and ward-based voters educators also at Ksh1,500.
County voter educators will receive Ksh2,500 per day, while constituency voter educators will earn Ksh2,000 per day.
According to commission, presiding officers and Electoral trainers will each be paid Ksh2,000 per day while Deputy presiding officers will earn Ksh1,800 per day and logistics officers will be paid Ksh1,500 per day.
Interested candidates are encouraged to make applications before October 16, 2025, through the official IEBC portal.
IEBC urged candidates who are Kenyan citizens of high integrity and non-partisan, hold a Degree and a Diploma certificate from a recognized institution, are computer literate, reside in the constituency/Ward for which they apply , and are available for the entire period of the exercise to apply
