Motorists using Nakuru- Eldoret highway were stranded in traffic on Friday, October 10, 2025, following an accident at Timboroa Forest along the busy highway.

The incident, which involved a private vehicle and a lorry, occurred earlier in the morning.

According to the Long Distance Drivers and Conductors Association (LoDDCA), although there was heavy traffic, vehicles were moving slowly through the area.

A video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed that the front of the private car had been severely damaged, while the lorry had sustained minimal damage.

Mombasa Road Accident

The accident occurred after another incident on Thursday night along Mombasa Road.

Reportedly, the crash involved a company van and a private car.

Images from the scene showed that the front of the van had been completely damaged when it hit the car from behind. The car sustained rear damage.

Similar to the Timboroa incident, there were reportedly no casualties.

The exact cause of both accidents has not yet been established.

In the wake of a spate of accidents in recent weeks, the Road Safety Association of Kenya (RSAK) has called for the revocation of all driving licenses issued by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) in the past six years.

RSAK chairperson, David Kiarie, claimed that most licenses issued during that period were given to people who did not attend driving school and just paid for them.
