Kenya Met Warns of Rain in Siaya, Several Parts of the Country Over Next Four Days

There will likely be morning rains and afternoon showers in Bondo during the burial of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Sunday, October 19, a weatherman report has revealed.

According to the Kenya Meteorological Department Siaya is among regions forecasted to experience rainfall over the next four days.

In a report released by the weatherman, parts of Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and North Eastern and North Western Kenya will experience rain and thunderstorms between October 18 to October 21, 2025.

Counties in Western and Rift Valley regions, such as Siaya, Homa Bay, Kakamega, Nakuru, Busia, Bungoma, Kisii, Nyamira, Kisii, Migori and West Pokot, will receive morning rains followed by afternoon showers and thunderstorms in several places throughout the forecast period.

These areas will also experience temperatures ranging between 9°C at night and 31°C during the day.

According to weatherman, Nairobi, Tharaka Nithi, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kiambu, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Meru, and Embu will experience cloudy mornings turning to sunny with light showers in the afternoon.

Temperatures in the regions will vary between 29°C and 30°C during the day, dropping to as low as 5°C at night.

In the report, weatherman predicted that Marsabit, Garissa, Isiolo, Mandera and Wajir may experience light rains over few places, mostly in the morning, followed by sunny intervals in the afternoon.

Temperatures in these regions will remain high from 35°C to 37°C, with minimum temperatures around 16°C.

The weatherman added that Samburu and Turkana will have occasional showers and thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon.

These regions will, however, remain hot with maximum temperatures of 36°C and minimums of 8 to 10°C

Machakos, Kitui, Kajiado, Makueni and Taita Taveta, according to weatherman, will experience sunny and dry conditions.

Regions will have partly cloudy nights with daytime temperatures ranging from 32°C–33°C and lows of 13°C–15°C will be experienced.

In Coastal Regions, Lamu, Kilifi, Mombasa and Kwale will remain sunny and humid with a chance of morning showers in a few areas. Temperatures during daytime will range between  32°C and 33°C, with warm nights of 22°C to 24°C.
