A section of Kenyans has raised concern after the man, who was captured on camera being assaulted by his Asian employer, seemingly forgave him.

In a video that went viral over the past few days, the employer was seen berating the Kenyan man inside what seemed like a warehouse in Eldoret.

The confrontation soon escalated as the foreigner picked up an iron sheet from a pile on the ground and hit him with it.

This escalation sparked outrage online, with several people calling for legal action to be taken against the employer and others pointing out the vulnerability of the employee.

However, things would take a turn on Sunday morning when an updated video of the Kenyan forgiving his boss went viral on social media.

In the video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the Kenyan man was seen shaking hands with his employer and stating that he had forgiven him and he would remain his employee.

He even called out Kenyans who might find fault in his decision to forgive his boss.

"I have forgiven him and I do not have a problem with him anymore, and I still want to work here," the man said.

"Next time, if there is a problem, he will call me to his office and I will accept my mistakes. But I have forgiven him. I will not listen to what people say because the disagreement has ended. He is my boss, and he will remain my boss."

These sentiments, however, did not sit well with most Kenyans, with some terming the relationship as toxic and others musing that he had been forced to record the forgiveness video after the initial one went viral.

Among those who took issue with the matter was Geoffrey Mosiria, the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment, who called on people who had videos of foreigners bullying to share them.

He noted that Kenya has given leeway to many foreign bullies, citing a recent case in Diani when a Dutch national harassed a police officer, even though the same could not be said of how Kenyans are treated abroad.

"As a leader, I cannot sit and watch Kenyans or even non-Kenyans being harassed on our soil. This rising culture of bullying and intimidation must stop immediately. We must protect our people," he declared.
