Buchere Philip Brightone, who was awarded a posthumous Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear, has also been reassigned to the Order of the Grand Warrior (O.G.W.) award.

Ruto also reassigned Odera Millicent Anyango from the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.) to the Head of State’s Commendation awards (H.S.C.).

The changes follow the conferment of national honours and accolades to 881 Kenyans in a conferment ceremony held at State House on Jamhuri Day, December 12.

The ceremony saw the conferment of Attorney General Dorcas Oduor, Kristina Pratt Kenyatta (sister of former President Uhuru Kenyatta) and Kajiado Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu with the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.).

Ruto also awarded the E.G.H. to his Cabinet Secretaries William Kabogo, Debora Barasa and Lee Kinyanjui.

The President also awarded Kenya Army Lieutenant General Keter Kipkemboi and Kenya Air Force Commander Major General Waliaula Bernard with the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.).

Musician Ian Oure, who goes by the stage name Iyanii, was also conferred with the Head of State’s Commendation (H.S.C.).

President Ruto also conferred upon Truphena Muthoni, the 72-hour tree-hugging world record holder, the Head of State’s Commendation (H.S.C.) award.
