Kiambu county has set up 13 centers that will provide rehabilitation support to recovering addicts.
This follows the emerging need of a support system for alcoholics left vulnerable to withdrawal symptoms after the nationwide crackdown of second generation alcohol.
The swoop on illicit brews began when president Uhuru Kenyatta sanctioned it last week, Thursday.
While most Kenyans went happily about the destroying of the alcohol, most of those who were dependent were left suffering.
Some of the withdrawal symptoms were so bad that victims got hospitalized.

Kiambu county, has been an area of special interest due to excessive consumption of alcohol.

The short to medium term rehab support systems put in place in the county therefore comes as a relief to many.
According to Citizen News, the 13 centers have been distributed to all the level-4 and level-5 hospitals in the county.
They rehab centers are open to the public.
