EXCLUSIVE: Betty Kyallo Speaks on Her Exquisite Salon - Posh Palace in Nairobi

KTN anchor Betty Kyallo has finally revealed why she decided to set up a multi-million beauty parlour which was launched in the upmarket Kilimani estate, Nairobi.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Ms Kyallo divulged that her motivation to open Posh Palace was influenced by a horrible accident that disfigured her face in 2005.

The accident, which happened at Railways Station in the City Centre as she was crossing the Haile Selassie road, left her with a fractured collar bone and ribs, broken elbow and jaw and a badly bruised face.

She told this journalist that: "I had a nasty accident a few years back and I lost half of my face. At that time I really wanted to look beautiful but couldn't because I had a big scar on my face".

"I just drew my passion from there wanting to make people look beautiful. Therefore, I decided why don't I just follow my passion and start a salon where we make women look beautiful," she said.

Posh Palace, which Kyallo defines as Kenya's most exquisite space, has a playing section for children where they can have fun as their mothers are at the hair studio.

"Being a mum most of the times over the weekend you want to spend time with your babies. So myself together with my partner (Susan Kaittany) thought it would be a good idea to have space where kids can come read stories, colour and play as their mum gets glammed up," she stated..
