Uhuru Brags About These 5 Female Cabinet Secretaries

President Uhuru Kenyatta publicly bragged about five female Cabinet Secretaries in his Government.

Addressing students of Maryhill and St. Francis Girls High schools during a tour in Kiambu, Kenyatta described the five as very strong and able leaders in his administration.

First on the list was Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohammed, who he hailed for the tremendous work she had done during her tenure.

The Head of State said that he had no doubt that Ms Mohammed, who he nominated for the African Union Commission chairmanship position, would clinch the plum job.

"If you look at my cabinet I have about five very strong women. I have Amina Mohammed who is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who hopefully next week will be elected the Chairperson of the African Union Commission,” President Kenyatta said.

The President also lavished praise on Defence CS Raychelle Omamo, Judy Wakhungu (Environment), Phyllis Kandie (Labour) and Sicily Kariuki (Public Service, Youth and Gander Affairs).

Mr Kenyatta encouraged the girls to work hard in their endeavours urging them that they had a big role to play in the country’s future growth like the five CSs.

"We are especially keen on seeing the girl-child take a central role in the socio-economic development of the country," the President said.
