Amherst College Confirms Uhuru Kenyatta Graduated From the Institution

Amherst College in the United States (US) confirmed that President Uhuru Kenyatta indeed graduated from the institution.

The prestigious college in Boston, Massachusetts, was forced to speak out following pressure from Kenyans of Twitter (KOT) who were demanding the college confirms if the President's degree was valid.

In response to a barrage of questions that were bombarding their Twitter account, Amherst tweeted: "Thanks for your question. Uhuru Kenyatta graduated from Amherst College in with a degree in economics & political science in 1985."

Some online users further emphasised that the institution should provide more information about the status of the degree of the President but the college replied: "Sorry, we do not provide personal information about our current or former students, faculty or staff."

The college further advised those who were discontented with the issue to contact their alumni program for more details

"Please direct other questions to alumni and parent programs through alumni@amherst.edu," another tweet from the college read.

President Kenyatta’s degree from Amherst College has on several occasions been the subject of debate with critics questioning whether he indeed graduated from the prestigious institution.

The doubts have been fuelled by the fact that when one searches Uhuru's name on Amherst's college page, no single result appears.
