Nairobi Businessman Chris Kirubi Opines on Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko's Choice of Polycarp Igathe as Running Mate

Nairobi businessman Chris Kirubi has finally responded to allegations that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko's running mate Polycarp Igathe is his son.

Speaking on Wednesday on the Jeff Koingange Live show, Kirubi stated that he would love to have a son like Igathe.

"I would love to have an efficient son so I will never deny him.

"I think he is a very well-schooled and trained young man...when you meet him you will love him," he stated.

He further expressed his admiration for Igathe, who was the managing director at Haco Brands, a company owned by Kirubi, saying he had impeccable managerial qualities that Nairobi County needs.

"He worked for me for over 10 years and I kept him as a director even after that.

"If he comes back tomorrow he can still be the managing director," he reiterated.

Kirubi also backed the Sonko-Igathe partnership in the gubernatorial race saying they were exactly what Nairobi County needed due to their qualities which complemented each other.

He stated they would easily beat incumbent governor Evans Kidero 'early in the morning.'

When asked about the chances of governorship aspirant Miguna Miguna beating the duo of Sonko and Igathe Kirubi responded by asking "who is that?"
