Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Issues Sh1 Million for Capture of Kamau Kambui Curnal

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has issued a Sh1 Million reward for the capture of a man with Kenyan ties for allegedly trafficking a minor in the United States (US).

According to a notice issued by the FBI, the bounty was issued for any information that would lead to the capture of  28-year-old Kamau Kambui Curnal who has been described as a wanted fugitive.

Mr Kambui is accused of driving the minor from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington as part of a sex trafficking operation.

The notice stated that Kambui was reportedly armed and dangerous and had a history of altercations with law enforcement in the US.

The FBI urged anyone with information on him to report to the US embassy or any FBI offices in their vicinity.

Elsewhere, a fake police officer was on Wednesday night shot dead in Kayole after he was accosted by security agents on patrol.

According to the police, they spotted the individual acting suspiciously in a car and when they approached him, he started shooting at the officers.

They gave chase with the support of colleagues from Buruburu police station and shot him dead.

They recovered a fake police certificate, handcuffs and a pistol with five rounds of ammunition.
