Peter Kenneth to Vie for Nairobi Governorship as Independent Candidate

Former Gatanga Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Kenneth is set to make a new move on Friday regarding the Nairobi gubernatorial race.

Two weeks after losing in the Jubilee nominations, Kenneth will announce that he will vie for the seat as an independent candidate.

Reports indicate that the aspirant who lost to Senator Mike Sonko in the primaries will kick start his campaigns on Friday as he seeks to go head to head with the Senator and incumbent Governor Evans Kidero.

After losing in the nominations, Kenneth complained over the credibility of the polls claiming that there were massive irregularities including cases of multiple voting.

He, however, indicated that he would not raise the issue with the Jubilee Party Appeals Tribunal as witnessed with other losers.

Kenneth has been appearing on several public platforms including church services signalling that he would still be on the ballot come August.
