National Super Alliance (NASA) Unveils 4 Campaign Teams Ahead of August 2017 General Election

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has unveiled four teams that will lead campaigns countrywide with the Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi as Chief Campaigner.

Reports indicate that the final decision was arrived at after weeks of deliberation and the aim will be to conduct vigorous campaigns nationwide in the next two months.  

The first team will be led by the NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and will comprise of Ford-K party leader Moses Wetangula, Lamu Governor Issa Timamy, Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye and Narok politician Joseph Tiampati.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will lead Team B that will be made up by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, Mbita parliamentarian Millie Odhiambo and former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim.

The NASA Chief Campaigner, Mudavadi, will lead the third team that will have Co-Principal Isaac Ruto, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Turkana County Chief Josephat Nanok and Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa.

The final team is yet to be fully set up with only one member so far, Mombasa Woman Representative Mishi Mboko, and will be led by Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed.

"Initially everyone thought NASA would fall apart but unity has been kept and we now have a fully fledged team to campaign countrywide. You cannot say the same for Jubilee," observed the Senator of Siaya County James Orengo.
