Singer Onyi Jalamo Reveals NASA Leaders Have Not Appreciated Him for Composing Tibim Anthem

The Ohangla hitmaker who sang the popular National Super Alliance (NASA) hit Tibim, Eng Onyi Jalamo, is an unhappy man.

Mr Jalamo, on a report by Classic105 FM, lamented that despite his song becoming a household name countrywide among NASA supporters, he had not reaped the fruits of his labour.

Jalamo stated that contrary to popular belief he had not received any payments from NASA coalition or its leaders for the use of the song at their rallies.

He  pointed out that the song had amassed a huge fan base, resonated with NASA leaders and propelled him meet NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga but had not received any recognition or appreciation.

“Si ata waniite uko Orange house nikunywe ata chai...(why don't they even invite me at Orange House for a cup of tea),” lamented Jalamo.

Jalamo had in April disclosed to The Standard that he self-invited himself to the unveiling of the NASA flag-bearer at Uhuru park due to pressure from his fans who wanted him to perform.

"I have not gotten anything from the leaders or the coalition and I doubt if they know of my existence.

“I invited myself to the flag-bearer unveiling rally last week as my fans had demanded," said Jalamo.

He called on the leaders to recognise his work and support his team in a bid to develop, grow and promote art.
