Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua Reveals Details of His Strong Ties With NASA Leaders

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has revealed that he has close ties with the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders despite political enmity that would suggest otherwise.

The new detail goes against his public declaration that he is only closely associated to President Uhuru Kenyatta who he is backing in the upcoming polls.

When asked about his fall out with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, during a radio interview on Tuesday morning, Governor Mutua insisted that they are the best friends and there is no blood between them.

"When we meet we hug and we laugh together, Kalonzo and I are very good friends," he asserted.

During the interview on Musyi FM, the Governor also stated that he has the utmost respect for all Ukambani leaders.

He outlined that in his knowledge, so far, he has never publicly insulted any of the leaders even though they always attack him.

"I respect all Ukambani leaders. Have you ever heard me take a microphone and hurl insults at Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr? Or Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama? I never do that, they do that to me," Dr Mutua stated.

Mutua outlined the development projects he has initiated in Machakos that have earned him international recognition that he believes merit a second term.

He added that the Ukambani leaders who have accused him of gross corruption have no evidence to back their claims and only pursue technicalities.

"If you analyse keenly what they say, they only ask how I have been able to do the projects, it is never about facts and numbers, it is all technical questions," he defended.
