Sirisia MP Aspirant Moses Nandalwe's Home in Bungoma Surrounded by Police

The home of Sirisia parliamentary aspirant, Moses Nandalwe, is said to have been surrounded by police ahead of Deputy President (DP) William Ruto's tour of Bungoma County.

Reports further indicate that Nandalwe was also summoned to appear before the County and District Commissioner for undisclosed reasons.

DP Ruto will visit the region on Wednesday and a section of the public speculate that the presence of police around the home could be linked to the visit.

It was not immediately established whether Nandalwe, who has been vocal in opposing the Jubilee administration, had responded to the summons.

The aspirant will be contesting for the Sirisia seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.

Last month, Nandalwe was allegedly linked to a plot to block the DP's convoy along the Kitale-Webuye road when he visited the area to drum up support for Jubilee.

During the incident, a group of youths reportedly blocked the road, burning tyres and chanting anti-Jubilee slogans with Nandalwe's vehicle being spotted during the chaos.

The former university student leader, famed for his immense wealth denied any link to the chaos and blamed Jubilee politicians of tainting his name.
