President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto to Meet Jackson Mandago, Alfred Keter, Oscar Sudi and Buzeki

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have reportedly convened an urgent crisis meeting in Eldoret to cool political temperatures and rebellion from the region.

During the meeting, it is understood that the president and his deputy will prevail upon rebel MPs and governors from the region not to support the Opposition as they had threatened.

Sources privy to the details revealed that the meeting is scheduled for either today or tommorrow when the president will be in Eldoret to campaign for his reelection.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi will attend the meeting. Others expected to attend the meeting are Uasin Gishu governorship aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop alias Buzeki and the county's woman representative aspirant Gladys Bos Shollei.

Recently, Mandago led Sudi and Keter in warning that they would sabotage Jubilee by supporting the Opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA).

The rebel MPs demanded that the DP should prevail upon Buzeki to drop his bid for the Uasin Gishu governorship.

They also threatened that should the Kikuyu community support Buzeki, they would lead the Kalenjin community in a protest vote against Uhuru Kenyatta.

However, speaking to KTN News on Thursday night, Buzeki vowed to be on the ballot and dismissed allegations that he is being supported by the Deputy President.

Former Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei revealed that she had approached the president to intervene in the rivalry that is threatening to tear the Jubilee party apart.
