Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Governor Ken Lusaka Differ on Twitter

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula on Sunday put Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to task after he alleged that Jubilee Party had used 70 school buses to ferry crowds to President Uhuru Kenyatta's rally in Bungoma.

In the tweet, Wetangula stated that 70 school buses were used during the exercise and asked Matiang'i whether he was serious with his ban.

"Cs Matiang'i, 70 school buses were used to ferry rented crowds to Jubilee (Uhuru/Ruto) rally in Bungoma. Where is your ban?" he asked.

The tweet attracted a variety of reactions, key among them being a response by Governor Ken Lusaka that seemingly shamed the NASA co-principal.

The two leaders have for a long time been at loggerheads and it was no different this time as Lusaka uploaded a photo believed to be of Wetangula's supporters being transported in lorries during a previous rally.

Last month, Education CS Matiang'i stopped the use of school buses to ferry people to political rallies and told school heads to follow the new rule as it was meant to ensure the safety of learners and school property.

"We should not create unnecessary anxiety and disruption of school programmes by allowing political rallies in schools," he said.
