Jubilee Leader Reveals Why Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has Been Missing NASA Rallies

Jubilee Party Deputy Chair David Murathe has revealed why Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has not been attending public rallies organised by the Opposition to rally support for National Super Alliance (NASA) candidate Raila Odinga.

He revealed that the Bomet Governor dropped out of the NASA campaign trail to focus on his gubernatorial campaigns.

Speaking to a local media house, Murathe stated: "Have you seen Isaac (Rutto) on their (NASA) campaign trail? The guy is fighting in Bomet. I don't know what value he will add to the Super Alliance."

Ruto will be defending his seat on a Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) ticket and is facing serious challenge from Jubilee's Joyce Laboso.

The Bomet governorship race is viewed as a contest between the governor and Deputy President (DP)William Rutoand from all indications, none is willing to lose.

The two former allies fell out and are currently in a supremacy battle with the Deputy President declaring his support for Laboso.

DP Ruto will today join President Uhuru Kenyatta in drumming support for Jubilee candidates in the county.

It is understood that the Ruto-Laboso contest will feature prominently in the rallies as the DP moves to rally the voters in the county behind Uhuru Kenyatta and other Jubilee candidates against a strong wave of CCM in the county.
