Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho Visits Mecca, Saudi Arabia for 10-day Hajj Pilgrimage

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is in the Islamic holiest city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia on the Ummrah pilgrimage.

Governor Joho had before the pilgrimage released a video on his Facebook page stating that he would be in Mecca on a 10-day pilgrimage.

He stated that during the pilgrimage, he would pray for the victory of the National Super Alliance (NASA) in the August 8 polls.

He urged the NASA supporters to remain steadfast in their quest to oust the ruling Jubilee party from power come August 8, and declared that he would hit the road running after he returns from Mecca.

“Wana NASA mambo, as you all are aware that we are in the month of Ramadhan, so, the last last 10 days mimi nataka ku focus kwa maombi as I have done for many years na ntaenda kuomba kwamba mungu atupatie nguvu we succeed in this election,” said Joho in the video clip.

Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. It is obligatory for all able Muslims and must be carried out at least once in a faithful's lifetime.
