How to Win in Guinness Top The Table Promotion

Football fanaticism is probably one the major reasons that will keep Kenyan men frequenting bars and the numerous entertainment lounges springing up in the country.

Nonetheless, there are a set of other factors that keep the Kenyan man going back to that favourite club or local joint.

Here are the reasons:

1. Love of Football

Football spectators are commonly referred to as the 12th man in the match due to the intense emotions they display.

Psychologists have even classified the phenomenon as a form of addiction that is verbally expressed through phrases such as "we won", "we are buying a new player".

Enterprising businessmen have realised the monetary worth of the football addiction leading them to set up comfortable, spacious and accessible establishments dedicated to airing the matches while still providing drinks and food.

2. Nyama Choma (Beef Barbecue)

Beer has become synonymous with roasted meat commonly referred to as Nyama Choma, so much so that it is very rare to find a bar that does not offer the delicacy.

Research has found that combining a stout such as the Guinness lager with roasted red meat is actually healthy.

Researchers from the University of Wisconsin in the US found that Guinness possesses antioxidants not found in other lagers, which are key for a healthy heart and immune system.

3. Bar Room Debates

The bar provides men with an opportunity for a charged debate with their peers over a myriad of issues ranging from politics, women, sports and even family.

Despite the brawls that occur among revellers who happen to take one too many, men still go back for the thrill of a heated debate trying to outdo colleagues.

Arguably, business deals and political alignments are mostly birthed in a bar before they are struck in the public.

4. No one Minds

It is socially acceptable in Kenya to see a man walk into a pub without being judged for it which is not the case for women.

Many ethnic groups in Kenya are predominantly patriarchal therefore the culture does not require men to adhere to a certain mould.

5. Guinness Top The Table Promotion
