Jubilee Party Holds Meeting to Strategise on President Uhuru Kenyatta's Nyanza Campaigns

The Jubilee Party on Friday held an urgent meeting to strategise on how it would win the support of Nyanza region voters.

In the meeting led by Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, the team discussed how they would try to reduce the dominance of the National Super Alliance (NASA) in the region.

Tuju, while addressing the forum attended by party officials and candidates from the region, divulged that Jubilee planned to use the track record of President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration in its vote hunt.

He stated that the Party planned to roll out a massive campaign in an attempt to convince the electorates to support President Kenyatta's re-election.

"It can be done. We have the conviction that we can get votes in any part of the country including Nyanza and we are up to the task,” he told the attendees.

Speaking after the meeting, Karachuonyo MP James Rege affirmed that they had divulged on ways to popularise Kenyatta's bid in the region.

He added that they decided to conduct a door-to-door campaign in order to boost their votes in the Opposition-dominated area.

“We met here to exchange information and strategies to ensure the re-election of our party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta for another five years. We are targeting between 40 and 50 percent in Nyanza region and it is possible,” he stated.

Jubilee has a number of candidates from the region including those in the Siaya and Homa Bay governorship race.
