The court has issued a warrant of arrest against Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nairobi County Chairman George Aladwa.
The order was issued on Tuesday against Aladwa, who is seeking to clinch the Makadara parliamentary seat, for failing to appear before the court.
Aladwa, who was Nairobi's former mayor, also failed to send any representative in a case in which he is wanted over allegations of incitement to violence.
The aspirant has been charged with uttering some inflammatory remarks calling for violence in case National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga fails to win in the August elections.
He is accused of making the statements during a rally in Nairobi's Kibera estate.
The judge directed that the arrest order be effected by August 11, 2017.
