Kenyans are set to be part of a historical event on Thursday 29th June, that could see the country make it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Gillette, a brand of safety razors and other personal care products including shaving supplies, has organised an event in Kenya dubbed NYOA KI-PRO na Gillette, where 3000 men will be aiming to shave simultaneously at one venue.
The event will be held at Kenyatta University (KU) and there will be performances by top Kenyan artistes including Muthoni the Drama Queen, Fena Gitu, Kristoff, Blinky Bill, Femi One, Band Beca, Kagwe and Mayonde.
On the decks will be Dj Creme and Kenyatta University's very own DON the Black
The MC for the event is the grand hype master and king of morning radio, Shaffie Weru and KU's DJ Sneep.
The current record for the most people shaving simultaneously was set in 2015 in an event organised by Gillette Procter & Gamble Planta Milenio in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, on 7 March 2015. On the said day 2,374 people shaved.
Participants were Planta Milenio's employees at the Gillette factories in Irapuato and their families.
They attempted the record during their annual families' day.

The Nyoa Ki-Pro na Gillette Concert is a once in a lifetime event that is set to put Kenya on the global map.
To partcipate, you only need to go to the venue with a National Identity Card and every participant will also get a Gillette hamper at the concert.
