Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen claims that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is being funded using corruption money.
Speaking during an interview on a local station, Murkomen highlighted that the Alliance has been benefiting from money sourced from the infamous Anglo Leasing scandal.
Murkomen accused NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka of being beneficiaries of the money while purporting to fight corruption.
The Senator further blasted the NASA principals terming them as the “most corrupt who have no moral audacity" to talk about the same vice.
Apart from the Anglo Leasing scam, Murkomen indicated that none of the principals - Odinga, Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Isaac Ruto - were clean, linking them to various scandals.
Kalonzo is mentioned in the NYS saga, Raila has land matters to settle, Wetang'ula sold our Embassy, Mudavadi could not even spare cemetery land and Ruto has looted county government funds so they should not point a finger at Jubilee," he claimed.
At the same time, Murkomen took a jab at the Alliance stating that they launched a manifesto that did not address weighty issues facing Kenyans.
“I am still waiting for NASA to launch a manifesto. What I have seen is just an underwhelming document that even middle-level management cannot use. It is just a discussion of clerical matters that are full of inconsistencies," added the Senator.
