NASA Has No Moral Authority to Lecture Jubilee on Corruption - DP William Ruto Declares

Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday dismissed the Opposition's promise to fight corruption in the country stating that the National Super Alliance (NASA) had no moral standing to fight corruption because they were deeply engaged in the vice.

Speaking in Kirinyaga County, the DP accused the Opposition of benefitting from corruption cartels and  Non-Governmental Organizations accountable to no one.

The DP claimed that NASA's campaigns and their entire secretariat were being funded by the proceeds of grand corruption schemes that had hit the country in the past years.

"The have no moral authority to lecture us on corruption because their entire campaign is funded by NGO's and corruption cartels.

"The choppers they use and their entire secretariat is paid for by money looted by corruption cartels in the country. They should go and tell the corruption story to the bats," DP Ruto stated.

DP Ruto made the remarks while responding to NASA's promise of fighting the runaway corruption in the country.

NASA in their manifesto launched on Tuesday promised to set up a code of conduct that will bar Government officers from transacting business with the government.

The Opposition also announced that they would sponsor constitutional changes to shake up the governance structure to allow for a Hybrid system of government.
