Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama Appointed to Lead NASA Campaigns in Nairobi

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has announced that he had been chosen to head the National Super Alliance (NASA) campaigns in Nairobi.

Speaking at City Stadium during a meeting with the Kamba community, Senator Muthama stated that the NASA leadership had appointed him to the new role and tasked him with the duty of ensuring the coalition wins all the elective seats in the city.

“I have been charged with overseeing the Nairobi campaigns and I want to assure voters that being an enemy of the Jubilee administration, I will make sure no vote is lost come August 8,” he stated.

Accompanied by Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and his deputy Jonathan Mueke, Muthama vowed to ensure that Wiper clinched three parliamentary seats and 20 MCA slots in  Lang’ata, Kamukunji, and Embakasi South.

Senator Muthama dismissed claims that he had fallen out with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as rumors and propaganda being peddled by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, with an aim of creating a rift between him and his party leader.

The legislator vowed to support Kalonzo in the 2022 Presidential race and endorsed Mueke for the 2022 Nairobi governorship contest.

“There is no way I can betray Kalonzo. We are inseparable and the day he leaves NASA we will leave together. I am not stupid to bring down the wall that I have spent years building," Muthama stated.

Governor Kidero on his part urged the Kamba community to elect leaders who would initiate development in the city and shun leaders who were "government projects".

The Governor also took a swipe at Senator Mike Sonko for skipping the Nairobi Gubernatorial candidates debate held last week stating that he was a ‘coward who was hiding under the bed’.
