Ford-Kenya Party Wants All ODM Candidates in Bungoma to Step Down

Ford-Kenya Party, which is led by Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, has demanded that all candidates vying on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in Bungoma should step down.

Speaking during a rally, Ford-Kenya Secretary-General Eseli Simiyu asked ODM Leader Raila Odinga to ask all ODM candidates in the county to stepdown and support those vying on the Ford-Kenya ticket.

Eseli argued that Ford-Kenya sacrificed their bid to support Raila thus no more ODM candidates were needed in Bungoma.

"Our party leader sacrificed his presidential ambitions. We don't want ODM candidates to challenge us," Eseli stated.

He added that competition between Ford Kenya and ODM would put NASA at a disadvantage in its bid to remove the Jubilee Party from power; both in the county and national level.

Eseli urged Bungoma residents to vote six-piece for Ford-Kenya so that the party could remain dominant in the region.

Elsewhere, Senator Wetangula also accused ODM candidates in the county of being Jubilee sympathisers.

"We know they are being funded by Deputy President William Ruto to destabilise NASA. Don’t vote for any of them in Bungoma," Wetangula highlighted.
