Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have placed spies in the National Super Alliance (NASA) to bring down the coalition.
Joho was speaking in Changamwe, Mombasa County, where he explained that candidates from smaller parties were being used to water down the support that NASA had in the region.
“NASA has five parties and we know there are some people who have infiltrated the opposition pretending to be our friends. We, however, know they have been sent by President Uhuru and DP Ruto to come and fight with us,” Joho stated.
Joho called out the Deputy President referring to him as "Arap Kipindupindu" (Arap Cholera) and reaffirmed that he was not afraid of him.
“Usitume mtu, njoo mwenyewe. Njoo ulale hapa, ushinde hapa, ukeshe hapa, mambo ni yale yale...(Don’t send anyone, come yourself. Come sleep, stay and campaign here and we shall battle it out), Joho stated.
He insisted that the loyalty of Mombasa voters belonged to NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.
Joho refuted claims that he was against specific tribes adding that he was supporting Raila who was from the Luo Community.
