Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula Accuses Alfred Khang'ati of Being a Jubilee Mole

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Moses Wetang’ula has accused Bungoma Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) governorship nominee Alfred Khang’ati of being a Jubilee spy.

Speaking in Kanduyi constituency during a Ford Kenya meeting, Wetang’ula announced that he had enough evidence showing that Khanga'ti was being used by Jubilee to split NASA votes.

The NASA Co- Principal claimed that Khang’ati was being funded by Jubilee to weaken the Ford Kenya governor candidate in Bungoma.

“Khang’ati is a Jubilee mole who is being paid to ensure our candidate Wycliffe Wangamati does not clinch the seat,” Wetang’ula stated.

The Senate Minority Leader noted that the coalition will not allow the ODM nominee to split NASA votes in the county and give a direct win to Governor Ken Lusaka of Jubilee.

Senator Wetangula further accused Mr Khang'ati of going round local media houses campaigning for Governor Lusaka

“We want to change the leadership of the Bungoma county government that has denied the electorate meaningful change, yet we are hearing Khang’ati on radio and other local media houses urging the electorate to vote for Lusaka,” he said.

Bungoma ODM chairman Ali Balala, however, dismissed the claims stating Wetangula had panicked because the Ford Kenya candidate was weak and would defeat Khang'ati.

Earlier on, Wetangula's party had demanded that all candidates vying on an ODM ticket in Bungoma should step down.

Speaking during a rally, Ford-Kenya Secretary-General Eseli Simiyu asked ODM Leader Raila Odinga to ask all ODM candidates in the county to stepdown and support those vying on the Ford-Kenya ticket.
