Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga Exposes Plan to Disrupt Uhuru Kenyatta's Rallies

Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has revealed a plan to disrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta's tour of the County on Friday next week.

Rasanga, on Friday, accused one of his competitors of hiring youth to wear clothes branded with his image to cause chaos during the President's tour.

"My opponent has paid youth to put on my campaign T-shirts to cause chaos at the meeting,” claimed Governor Rasanga.

The Governor welcomed Kenyatta's to visit the region which is affiliated to the National Super Alliance (NASA) maintaining that he would treat him as the Head of State.

According to Rasanga, the President has a constitutional right to campaign in any region of the country assuring that he would put aside their political differences and host him in his county.

He, however, faulted the organisers of the tour including the security agents accusing them of excluding him in the preparations of Kenyatta's rallies.

The county boss urged the security department to investigate his claims to ensure the President's campaign tour slated for July 14 is successful.

“I am supposed to share such information with the security team. But how do I inform them when they have sidelined me? Let security agencies carry out an in-depth investigation over the issue and bring the perpetrators to book as soon as yesterday," he affirmed.
