Daisy Cherogony Now Demands Sh41 million from Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) After Firing Her For Allegedly Humiliating Education CS Fred Matiang’i

The female guard who sued Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) for sacking her on claims that she humiliated Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i at the airport has amended her memorandum to demand a Sh41 Million compensation.

Ms Daisy Cherogony amended her claim seeking Sh40.9 million citing that she had been dismissed under wrongful and illegal terms.

The 37-year-old security guard had been accused of mistreating and embarrassing Dr. Matiang’i on April 16 by insisting that he queue with other passengers who were waiting to board their flights at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

After she was dismissed on grounds of misconduct, she filed a suit at the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Nyeri County seeking to have the KAA pay Sh2.4 Million for wrongful dismissal.
