Odinga, told a mammoth crowd gathered at the Mama Ngina Drive to keep monitoring the process during the election day.

“When it reaches 5 pm, all youth should go back to the polling centres and stay outside when our people will be inside. There is no joke this time round,” he stated.

During the rally, he urged NASA members to vote in large number to ensure he clinches victory in the August 9 polls.

The same was reiterated by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi who asserted that a high voter turn out was the only sure way of beating their main competitors in the Jubilee Party.

Mudavadi urged residents to remain vigilant and keep track of the exercise all the way to the constituency tallying centres.

The Opposition leader had earlier on maintained that his supporters would remain at the polling centres to guard votes despite a warning by acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.

However, on Wednesday the Alliance seemingly rescinded it decision and asked supporters to remain 400 metres away from the polling stations as advised by the IEBC.
