Police Hunting for Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's Brother - Nelson Marwa Says

Police officers in Mombasa are hunting Governor Ali Hassan Joho's elder brother Abu.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa accused Abu of sponsoring chaos that he says have been witnessed in the county.

Marwa claimed that Joho's brother had been planning the fracas using other people's phones to avoid being monitored.

However, he assured that the authorities were tracking him together with the phone numbers allegedly used to plan the chaos.

“He is not using his number. He uses youth's and pays them Sh1,000. They walk around with tinted cars changing them 10 times daily,” Marwa claimed.

He further assured that the government had increased surveillance during this electioneering period to ensure the polls will be conducted in a peaceful manner.

“All security and vital installation like polling stations are under tight security. Any striker will be gunned down,” he stated.

The regional coordinator has on several occasions publicly differed with Governor Joho regarding the administration of the County.
