The National Super Alliance (NASA) has raised the alarm over alleged secret meetings the IEBC CEO, Ezra Chiloba has been holding at a house in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
Speaking during a press conference on Sunday, NASA leader Musalia Mudavadi accused the Mr Chiloba of plotting to sabotage the General Election scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
"We have credible information about covert meetings that the Commission CEO Ezra Chiloba has been having in a house in Kileleshwa with part of the secretariat staff and senior Jubilee operatives geared towards sabotaging the successful conduct of the elections by the Commission," Mudavadi accused.
The NASA leader went on to name the nine officials accused of planning to subvert the will of the people.
The nine, including the IEBC CEO are: the IEBC Deputy Director Research Dr Kamindo, Anne Nderitu, Josephat Yegon, Mohammed Hassan, Amos Gatheca, Mr. Kingori Mwangi, CIP Birech, AIGP Barumau.
The NASA Chief Agent further issued six demands to the IEBC, to assure the electorate that the elections will be free, fair and credible.
The six demands were outlined as follows.
1. IEBC ensures that ballot papers, KIEMS and all election materials arrive at respective polling stations across the country by Monday 5pm.
2. IEBC assures the country that all KIEMS are loaded with the Register of Voters and that all SD cards are secured.
3. That Kenya power and lighting company should provide uninterrupted power supply to the National Tallying Centre at Bomas of Kenya.
4. That the current skewed deployment of security officers at Bomas of Kenya be immediately withdrawn and a fresh deployment of security officers be done.
5. NASA and Kenyans as a whole should be told which 11,000 polling stations have no internet connectivity.
6. The idea that IEBC staff will look for and move the stations to areas without internet connectivity in order to transmit results may be ridiculous and an avenue for rigging.
