Ababu Namwamba, William Kabogo and Top Politicians Facing Defeat in the 2017 General Election

As the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) continues to stream in results for the 2017 General Election, some top politicians are facing defeat in their home turfs.

In the gubernatorial race, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, Meru Governor Peter Munya and Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale are trailing their challengers in the race.

In the parliamentary contest, those facing defeat include Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, Mathare MP Steven Kariuki, Dagoretti North MP Dennis Waweru and the Makadara MP Benson Mutura.
