Thirdway Alliance Presidential Candidate Speaks on IEBC Trasmission of Results

Thirdway Alliance Party presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has revealed that party candidates are now being called back to the national tallying centre to sign Form 34(A) documents.

Speaking from the Bomas of Kenya, Mr Aukot conveyed that the unexpected move was due to frustrations experienced during the voting day.

"I can tell you for a fact that I'm also receiving reports from my agents on the ground, some of them were frustrated from entering the polling stations and up until now not all of them have signed the Form 34(A).

"As of this morning, I've received calls from some of our agents who are now being asked to come and sign the Form 34(A)," Aukot revealed.

The presidential candidate added that for that reason, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) should not be rushed to make the announcement of the winner of the election.

Aukot called for the 7 other presidential candidates to visit the National tallying centre to understand the challenges being faced with the transmission of results.

"Following a meeting that was called yesterday by the IEBC of at least the three main political parties - Jubilee, NASA and Thirdway Alliance - in which they admitted that there is a problem with the results transmission, I would like all presidential candidates to understand how the system works.

"I have personally gone through it and that is why I'm sharing my preliminary thoughts on it and we are putting together our final report from both our experience here at the tallying centre and from our agents on the ground," Aukot conveyed.
