President Uhuru Kenyatta Will Reach Out to NASA if Reelected - Raphael Tuju Reveals

Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has revealed the first thing President Uhuru Kenyatta will do if he wins the presidential race.

Tuju stated that the President was patiently waiting for the announcement of the final tally with provisional results showing that he was leading with a margin of around 1.4 million votes.

The secretary general revealed that in case the Head of State retains his seat, his first move will be to reach out the Opposition leaders so that they work on improving the country.

“We are looking forward to the results being announced and if they are announced in our favour, the first step will be to reach out to our brothers and sisters in NASA so that we can consolidate and make sure this country moves forward in unity,” he stated.

Earlier on, Tuju had urged the Opposition leaders to be ready to accept defeat in case President Kenyatta is declared the winner once the tallying process is concluded.

By Wednesday afternoon, Kenyatta was leading in the race with 7.9 million with NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga coming in second with slightly above 6.5 million votes.

Odinga, however, rejected the results claiming that the IEBC system had been hacked and results for all the six positions in the 47 counties manipulated.

According to the former Prime Minister, some individuals managed to access the system to add votes in favour of the Jubilee party.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has since denied the claims noting that the results being displayed are not final but will have to be confirmed by form 34A from the polling stations.
