Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati has ordered returning officers to ensure they submit presidential results by Friday midday.
Speaking during the regular press conferences by the Commission, Chebukati directed that all form 34Bs reach the National Tallying Centre at the Bomas of Kenya by Friday to allow verification of the results.
Chebukati announced that once the forms are submitted, the validation would follow and later, the announcement of the final presidential results would be done.
Form 34B contains the totals of the presidential tally from the various constituencies which the court ruled should be final and not subject to any alteration.
During the same presser, the Chairman confirmed that 117 out of the 290 constituency forms had already been submitted and were currently being verified.
Additionally, by 2pm only 1,032 of the 40,883 polling stations had not transmitted form 34As which bear the results from the various centres.
The electoral body further stated that 26,424 of the 40,883 forms had been uploaded on the public portal and was accessible for confirmation.
