Security Tightened as Uhuru Kenyatta Expected at Bomas Ahead of Announcement of 2017 Presidential Results

Security has been beefed up at the Bomas of Kenya as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) prepares to announce the Presidential results.

The Presidential advance team has arrived at Bomas, which is the National Tallying Centre, signalling that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be heading to the area.

IEBC on Thursday noted that they may announce the final Presidential today if all constituency result (forms 34B) were delivered on time.

So far, IEBC has announced that it has received 273 forms 34B and only 17 forms are yet to arrive for the final tallying of presidential results to be done.
