Caroline Mutoko Reveals She Declined to be IEBC Commissioner

Popular radio queen Caroline Mutoko has revealed that she had been offered a job at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) which she rejected.

In her video on the 2017 General Election, Mutoko divulged that she was requested to be a Commissioner at the electoral body.

She stated that when the former officials led Chairman Isaack Hassan left office, she was approached to apply as one of the Commissioners but she rejected the offer due to the pressure of the job.

“This is not a job anybody wanted. This is not a job anybody wants. When they were looking for Commissioners when Issack's team was sent home I was asked and I said no. It's not a job I believe I can do,” she disclosed.

Mutoko commended the IEBC team for effectively handling the electoral process despite the high pressure and numerous court cases.

“I just love the fact that they refused to be bullied by anybody... The pressure is so high so well done for standing your ground, well done that it didn't matter what happened but when you spoke you spoke with clarity,” she added.
