A six-month old victim of police brutality in Kisumu, baby Samantha Pendo, has succumbed to her injuries.
Baby Pendo had been fighting for her life at the Aga Khan Hospital since Saturday when, in an unfortunate incident, a police officer struck her on the head with his baton.
Her father, Mr Joseph Abanja, appeared on the news narrating the sad events that led to his second born's injury.
Mr Abanja claimed that his family was assaulted on Friday night during a police raid in Nyalenda estate.
The Medical Director at the hospital, Mr Sam Oula, had described the baby's condition as serious but stable at the time of admission.
Chaos erupted in the Nyanza region city after President Uhuru Kenyatta was officially announced as the winner in the 2017 presidential election.
