NASA Supporter Demands to Meet Raila Odinga at Supreme Court

A National Super Alliance (NASA) supporter on Friday morning caused drama outside the Supreme Court where the Opposition is set to file a presidential petition.

The seemingly disgruntled man demanded to be let into the precincts of the court to meet NASA leader Raila Odinga.

He faced off with police officers outside the gate as he uttered incoherent statements while inquiring the whereabouts of Odinga.

He claimed that he had travelled from far to witness the case vowing that no one would stand in his way.

“Baba ako wapi? Nimetoka mbali kuona kesi na mtu asinisimamishe (where is Baba? I have come from far for this case and no one should restrain me)," he stated.

Officers stationed outside the gate managed to calm down the unidentified supporter after promising to take him to the Opposition leader.

The Alliance is expected to file the petition at the court's registry which will remain open until the Friday midnight deadline elapses.

Earlier communication from a section of the Opposition divulged that the case would be filed on Friday afternoon with other sources claiming that it might be delayed until 8 pm.

When presenting its documents, the Alliance will be required to pay Sh1.5 Million fees and security of the suit after which it will have two days to serve the respondents.
